Chapter 3: Could this be LOVE?

And the result to the interview came positive. Finally John have another decent job and a valid ground to go to Sheena’s parents to ask for her hand. Both John and Sheena were very happy, happy to the extent that they decided to celebrate the achievement of John and so they planned for a romantic dinner for themselves near a beach on an isolated place so as to stay away from all the noises and worldly affairs.

The evening has arrived. The so called dinner date is about to begin and for that Sheena was well dressed in the beautiful pink colour off shoulder dress, with high white colour heels and a small diamond, once  gifted by John to her, around her neck. Her hair were beautifully tied in a french knot, loosely falling on the left side of her face. She was looking just like a princess ready to get married. On the other hand John was dressed in a black trousers and a white small collar shirt, with perfectly set hair, and wearing perfectly polished black formal shoes. He was also not looking any less than a prince.

John gave her a call while waiting in front of her house as he has to pick her up from there. As soon as she saw her mobile ringing with John’s call on that, she started blushing automatically and almost ran towards the door, without attending the call. As a true gentleman, John lifted her hand and kissed her gently and opened the car’s door for her to sit inside. Both of them were on their seventh sky. At that time it felt like no world existed and it was only these two who lived and have only each other to live for. They were away from all the worries and tensions which were there in their lives since last few weeks.

After a drive of about 25 minutes, they finally reached at the decided venue. They talked about their lovely future together and how are they going to spend their life with each other. In short they had a wonderful time and conversation worth remembering. Sheena also had a beautiful pendant, with SJ engraved on it, for John as a gift for his achievement. They looked like the best ever couple, as they share the best possible understanding and also complement each other in all possible ways.

After having dinner and exchange of gifts and loving gestures, John had to drop Sheena to her place. They both were together in the cozy environment of the big car which John owned and after about 25 minutes of drive and further 10 minutes of cozy love moments, John also headed back towards his home.

John told dad about the new job offer which he had got the very next morning in the office while putting up his papers. Dad wanted to convince him for not leaving but nothing could stop him now. So finally he left the office after persuading dad that it is the only possible way to stay away from all the awkward situations and future growth & settlement of me and John. With a heavy heart, dad had no other option except to accept what John had decided for himself.

Few days later, dad got a minor heart attack and that is when we got to know the reason behind his wish on the day of his birthday about me and John to get married. Dad got admitted to hospital and it was like the end of the world for us. We were all sad and shattered. We had never imagined in our dreams to face this situation where our dad will be at the hospital bed and we will be praying for his health outside the room of a hospital.

Today was the day when everything changed between me and John. He visited the hospital when me, Lara and Sam were there outside dad’s room. We were all stressed and drained out coz of the situation we were in. John, being the eldest of us all, was calm and trying to analyse the situation and also was looking for the possible solutions to the problem in which we were all in at that time. He was thinking about the possible outcomes of this situation and condition of dad. That was the time when he insisted us to leave for home and take some rest and also ensured that he will be there in the hospital for dad to look after all his needs. This is when I decided to stay with him and asked Sam and Lara to leave and come back only in the morning. That night I have realized that me and John understand each other's needs and for that we doesn't even needs words to tell to each other. I cried like a baby in front of him. He, like a true caring lover, gave me his hug to make me feel comfortable and also to ensure that I am not alone at any given day. From that day onwards, we came closer in some different way. From John’s side it was just the care he was giving me coz of my dad’s favours towards him for all this long but I started feeling for him now. I started realizing that he is the only one who could take care of me. That was because of the fact that he always knew in advance, without me telling him, that what I wanted and when. From the first day till the day when dad got discharged from the hospital, me and John were the ones who stayed at the hospital over nights.
