Chapter 4: Could this be LOVE?

This was the time when John had to leave his job coz of being absent from the office for such long duration. And Sheena was continuously after him for all the things he have been doing for me and my family. She always wanted him to leave all of us and join back his job. Coz this according to her was bringing John near to me and also weakening his ground to face her parents. But as John had no feelings for me & his intentions were very clear of just being with me and my family during our hard times, he always avoided what Sheena use to say.

John had many times explained Sheena about his situation and also ensured her that he is truly her only. There is no one and can never be anyone who could separate him from her. But all his efforts of explaining her all those things went waste when she just did not listen to what all he had to say. During this course, she insulted me and my father, in front of John, twice. She blamed us for snatching John from her. That was the end of John’s patience and probably their relationship. This showed and taught me a lesson, that where there is no faith in the relationship, even after the hardest of efforts, you just cannot stay together. It is the faith which builds the foundation of any relation and a relation will only last long when the foundation is strong. John and Sheena’s relation was missing that faith.

Few days, from the day they broke up, were the hardest days for John. He was all shattered and broken. He never wanted it to happen this way. But despite all his efforts, he could not just manage to live along the relation. Since John was there with me all the time during my bad phase, so I also took it as my duty and responsibility to be with him during his hard time. This is the time when we came actually close to each other.

Now John also started sahring all his thoughts and feelings of all kinds if they are happy or sad or confused and every possible feeling one can get. He knew it now that I am the only person, who can understand him and I am the only person with whom he can share anything and everything. I don't know what was going through in his mind by now, but with each passing day, my feelings for John were getting reinforced and stronger than each passed day. I don't know from where they were coming in and why, but they were there and I just couldn't control them to come.

One fine morning John called me to ask for dinning out with him. I were surprised because of two reasons. First, that since its his office hours, as he have started working again with my dad and bro by now, why is he calling me during his working hours, which was never his nature earlier? And secondly, why is he inviting me for dinner? And also why this invitation can’t wait till his non working hours, when usually he is free to talk? I thought that it must have been something very important to him.

Finally, I got dressed casually for dinner that day. I thought that it’s just like a normal dinning out with John. And may be since he is feeling low since few days, just to boost up himself a bit, he wanted this change. I also thought that this will probably work as my contribution to bring him back to life. Hence I was just as normal and casual as the other days and also I was ready to give John the humorous company so as to make him feel better.

As per the pre decided time, John came in to pick me up from home. I were ready already and waiting for him only. The moment doorbell ringed, I just ran towards the door coz I knew that this must be John. And I were so right! John looked smarter and dashing than normal, wearing a formal blue pants with light pink colour shirt and properly combed and fixed hair. He is the most eligible bachelor kinds to any parent for their daughter. He is well mannered, hardworking with decent earnings to his account. Also he is any girl’s dream boy kind; being very caring, loving and soft spoken kind of a guy. Sometimes I feel that why my dad doesn’t want me to get married with him now? As he is single and also we have a nice chemistry growing up these days. Why is my dad not seeing and acting upon it now? Anyways! With all these thoughts running in my mind, after seeing John on the door, I offered him to come inside and meet the rest of the family members, to which he agreed and also told me that in this way he can take permission from my dad to take me out for dinner. Although, I had already told this to dad and took his permission for, but still it sounds better that if he also do the same.
